Which finish should I pick?

Shallow engraving (included in the starting price): a white surface marking.

Deep engraving: engraved deeper into the plate. Choose deep engraving if you want color infill.

Infill: fills a deep engraving with 1 or 2 colors. Without infill, the engraving shows white or grey depending on depth.

The product photos show a shallow engraving on a standard plate and deep engravings on blacked-out and standard plates.

This FAFO Glock backplate pairs the Don't Tread on Me snake with the F*ck Around and Find Out slogan. It replaces the factory slide cover plate, in sizes for the Glock 17, 19, 19X, 42, 43X, 48, Gen 6 and more.

The rattlesnake carries the Don't Tread on Me message of independence and self-reliance. We value personal liberty and the right to keep and bear arms.

The FAFO Glock backplate design

The Don't Tread on Me snake sits at the top of the plate, with the F*ck Around and Find Out lettering beneath it. The photos show shallow white marking and deep engraving on Black Cerakote aluminum, including a red infill example. The turntable videos show deep engraving with white infill.

Fit

  • Standard Glock Models (Gen 1 - 5): Glock 17, 17L, 19, 19X, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 30SF, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41 and 45. Does not fit Gen 6 or Glock V.
  • Glock (Gen 6 or V): standard-size Gen 6 and Glock V pistols only.
  • Compact: Glock 43, 43X and 48, including MOS models, all generations.
  • Glock 42: Glock 42 only, all generations.

Materials and finish

Choose Black Cerakote aluminum or Black Cerakote brass. The laser cuts through the coating to the metal.

How ordering works

  1. Pick your size in the Glock Model menu.
  2. Pick Black Cerakote Aluminum or Black Cerakote Brass in the Backplate Material menu.
  3. Pick an Engraving Depth. Shallow engraving, a white surface marking, is included. Deep engraving lets you add color infill in 1 or 2 colors of your choice.
  4. Choose Rush Order if you need it sooner.

Before we make your plate, we send you a mockup to approve. Laser engraved plates ship in 3 to 5 business days, and multicolor plates take 7 to 10.
